Frequently Asked Questions

Is electrolysis hair removal permanent?
Electrolysis, with repeated treatments, can become permanent. With each treatment, the hairs become thinner and sparser, as the root follicle becomes more fragile and less likely to be able to create hair.
How many treatments are required?
It depends on several different factors. It depends on the area of the unwanted hair, the type of hair, and your skin type. After your free consultation with our certified electrologist, you will have a better idea of how many treatments will be required.
Is electrolysis painful?
Not really. There is a little sting, but it is quick and over with immediately. People’s pain tolerances differ, but most people are not bothered by it.
Can electrolysis remove hair from any part of the body?
Just about. It’s great for unwanted hair removal from legs, eyebrows, ears, back, bikini area, upper and lower lip, any part of the face, back, breasts, underarms, shoulders, chest and abdomen.
Are there any side effects from electrolysis?
The most frequent side effect is a little red immediately after the treatment, but it goes away quickly. Our electrologist will go over the post-treatment instructions so you will know how to best care for your skin.
